The New York City Fire Department, FDNY, reported a gas leak in a Queens neighborhood on Sunday that led to five people to the hospital, three of whom have life-threatening injuries.

The first teams responded to a Jamaican home in 198th Street around 1:30 pm where they found five people. According to the FDNY, carbon monoxide was in all levels of the residential building.

The five victims were taken to the Nassau County Medical Examiner, where three were being treated for life-threatening injuries and the other two for serious injuries.
