The cost of recharging electric vehicles has increased significantly in Italy due to the energy crisis and is now more expensive than refueling a traditional car.
“Due to rising energy prices, refueling an electric car is in some cases more expensive than a traditional car. And if, instead of charging from a home socket, you wanted to connect to a speaker on the street, the prices would be even higher “ – the experts of the Italian consumer portal Facile.it discovered it, reports Prime.
According to a study, the charging of an electric car in Italy increased by 161% compared to last year. Previously, the costs were 50-70% lower than for refueling cars with gasoline and diesel. A full battery is now more expensive than a full one.
Facile.it gives an example that a mileage of one thousand kilometers for a class B petrol car will cost 83 euros, on diesel – 71 euros. At the same time, charging an electric car to cover the same distance will cost 85 euros instead of the previous 33 euros.
