Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin has made a formidable allusion to NATO countries. In his Telegram channel, he reminded Western countries of Russia’s Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile.
The head of Roscosmos warned what could happen if the enlargement of the North Atlantic Alliance continues.
His comment was on the words of diplomat Alexander Grushko, who said that Russia has no hostile intentions towards Finland and Sweden.
Sarmat also has no prejudice or hostility towards NATO countries. That’s just his job, “Rogozin wrote.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko spoke about Russia’s reaction if Finland and Sweden join NATO.
Grushko replied in two words: “There will be no emotions.”
But Russia is worried about Sweden and Finland’s possible renunciation of nuclear-free status, which will happen in the event of such a development. At the same time, Grushko claims that Moscow has no hostile intentions towards the two countries.
Rogozin called the NATO secretary general a liar and hypocrite, and also threatened the CIA chief.
Meanwhile, Finnish President Sauli Niinisto personally informed Putin in a telephone conversation about the country’s intention to join NATO, according to the office of the Finnish head of state.
The President of Finland also emphasized that “by joining NATO, Finland is strengthening its own security and taking responsibility”. Niinistö said that “Russia’s demands at the end of 2021 to prevent the countries from joining NATO” and the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine “fundamentally changed the security situation in Finland.”
The Finnish head of state reiterated his deep concern over the human suffering caused by the war in Ukraine.
