The former Minister of Justice Atanas Slavov revealed the cards of “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria”. Despite the war between PP-DB and ITN, the possibility of entering power through the back door turned the position of “Change”.
The negotiations that ITN are conducting to form a government with the third mandate were commented by Slavov as “restoring the dialogue between the parties in the 50th National Assembly”.
According to Slavov, the information that the PP-DB met on Friday evening with ITN to discuss how to overthrow Raya Nazaryan as speaker of the parliament and Dimitar Glavchev as prime minister was “folklore”.
However, Slavov announced that the official cabinet was placed under the control of DPS chairman Delyan Peevski, and therefore now the efforts of the PP-DB “are focused on ensuring that Dimitar Glavchev does not remain prime minister of the official government”.
GERB and DPS feel too comfortable with this government, Atanas Slavov told BNT.
“The important thing is that the caretaker government ensures the impartial conduct of the elections,” he believes.
There will be a judicial reform, regardless of the fact that the Constitutional Court canceled Hristo Ivanov’s changes, Slavov announced. According to him, Bulgarian society wanted such a reform. In his words, with its decision that rejected the changes to the Constitution, the Supreme Court demonstrated that it was looking in the rearview mirror. “Eventually changes can be made again,” he said.
