The resolution “Ban the Jab” (Prohibit the injection) of Lee County (west coast of Florida) was approved by a large majority and sent to the Republican DeSantis to endorse it with his signature, according to local media reports this Thursday.
For now, the governor, who was re-elected in 2022 and has given signs that he will seek to compete for the White House in 2024, has not ruled on the resolution promoted by Joe Sansone, a member of the Republican executive committee in Lee.
The initiative is aimed at banning the sale and distribution of the covid-19 vaccine in Lee County, one of the 67 into which Florida is divided, arguing that the risks of the vaccine are so high that it is not convenient to get it. .
“Lee’s Republican Party is going to be at the forefront of this campaign to stop the genocide, because we have foreign non-governmental entities applying biological weapons to the American people,” Sansone says.

Florida is the third US state with the most deaths from covid-19, behind California and Texas and ahead of New York, according to official data, with more than 86,000 deaths since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 until the date.
DeSantis stood out during the pandemic for his stance against lockdowns and the mandatory use of masks and even prohibited state companies, such as cruise ships, from requiring proof of vaccination from their employees or clients.
