Otters in Singapore

Frightened animals bit the man 26 times in 10 seconds. He needed the help of doctors. The bill for medical services was $ 1.2 thousand.

In Singapore, about 20 otters attacked and bit British citizen Graham George Spencer while he was walking in the botanical garden in the morning. The man admitted that he had already said goodbye to life. It is reported by The Guardian.

The incident happened on November 30th. In the garden, he noticed about 20 otters crossing the road in front of him. The animals behaved peacefully, but after a man ran past them, they seemed to “have gone crazy.”

The runner managed to avoid meeting with the animals, then they pounced on Spencer, biting his ankles, legs and buttocks.

“I really thought I was going to die – they were going to kill me,” – said the victim.

His friend tried to scream the angry animals away.

“I was bitten 26 times in 10 seconds. If it weren’t for my friend, I don’t think I would still be here. I would be dead,” said the Briton.

In the botanical garden, the man was given first aid, and he went to the hospital, where he was vaccinated against tetanus. Spencer visited the facility three more times to have his wounds treated. The bill for the services was 1.2 thousand dollars.

The botanical garden administration is currently investigating the incident.

It is noted that more than 90 families of otters live in Singapore. The animals returned to the city after a massive campaign to clean up the reservoirs. Otters often walk the streets, enter buildings, drink water from fountains. They attack people very rarely. Experts suggest that the otters attacked the Briton because they were afraid of something.

Recall in Zambia the girl miraculously escaped from the jaws of a crocodile… The reptile grabbed the 18-year-old British woman by the leg and dragged her to the depths when her friends came to the aid of the victim.

Earlier we wrote that at the zoo near Poltava a man was attacked by a panther… She attacked the vet from behind, grabbing her by the head.
