A first wave of vaccination completed in the remote MRCs of the Côte-Nord | Coronavirus

Almost all adults in MRC of the Lower North Shore, Minganie and Caniapiscau who wanted to be vaccinated against COVID-19 received a first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19, according to the Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS) of the North Shore.

The vaccination campaign aimed at administering a first dose to the adult population of these MRC is almost complete and the received doses of the Moderna vaccine have expired.

The cISS indicates that it is difficult to estimate the percentage of the population that received a dose of the vaccine.

Some people who wanted to be vaccinated, but who could not come to the clinics, could not receive the vaccine. The Ministry of Health is looking into this problem, according to the cISS.

From the beginning of next week, no vaccination should take place on the North Shore until new doses are received.
