a first “Rainbow” festival on the theme of Asia

From Saturday October 19 to Friday October 25, the municipal media library is organizing its festival, “Arc-en-ciel”, to highlight cinema, literature and music in Asia. Various activities, for all audiences and free, are offered such as workshops, shows, readings, games, cinema and many others. The program begins this Saturday, October 19 around an exhibition of Japanese ceramics, an introduction to the culture of bonsai, the creation of a fresco with music and live by the comic strip artist Julien Bouhier, a show, a tasting Japanese cuisine and games.

Monday October 21, around an exhibition of Chinese books, there will be an origami workshop, painting, Chinese tea ceremony, calligraphy, Asian cuisine and conference on Chinese literature and culture. Tuesday, stories and natural movement school for an introduction to tai chi. Wednesday, manga workshops for different ages. Thursday, reading and stories. Friday closes the festival with a reading, illustration and calligraphy workshops, dance demonstration and K-pop workshop, and screening of an animated film. An event to perpetuate

A cultural week which is now part of the agenda of the Aunis Atlantique territory. During the 10th anniversary of the media library, at the same time last year, Didier Taupin, mayor of the town, announced that he would create a week of cultural activity, and he stuck to it. The councilor announces: “There is a slot to be taken and this festival will take place each year on a different theme. For this first festival, we have established a rich program. The CdC Aunis Atlantique is supporting us for this edition, and the next ones will be included in their 2025-2026 programming. » The elected official concludes: “It is the town hall which finances this event which is free for everyone. »
