The Caisse Desjardins de Limoilou took advantage of Earth Day, April 22, to announce the creation of a very first Eco-responsible fund one million dollars, intended to support environmental projects and all types of citizen initiatives in his community. Caisse Desjardins de Limoilou is the first financial services cooperative in Quebec to set up an eco-responsible fund of this scale. From the Community Development Assistance Fund, the new financial support vehicle meets the needs and requests of members. The Fund considers that this fund, which was created following an initiative of the Board of Directors of the Fund, which then gave the mandate to a committee made up of members of the Board of Directors, employees of the Fund and experts from the Fund. environment, will have a direct impact on the environment and improve their quality of life.

Marie Cossette (photo), lawyer, partner, at Norton Rose Fulbright, is since April 1 the first woman appointed to head the board of directors of the Fondation du Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (MNBAQ). Involved in the MNBAQ Foundation since 2016, among others as Chair of the Governance, Ethics and Human Resources Committee, Me Cossette succeeds Jean St-Gelais (photo) who has held the position of Chairman of the Board for the past 5 years while being a key player in several decisive projects, including the Major Fundraising Campaign for the Pierre-Lassonde Pavilion. He leaves with a feeling of accomplishment and an unalterable attachment to the MNBAQ Foundation. He remains chairman of the board of directors at Beneva.

Simon Larochelle (photo) this week celebrated 50 years of service in the automotive world. Currently a sales consultant at Citadelle Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC in Lévis, Simon, a well-known man on the South Shore, has only sold General Motors (GM) products in his career, with stays at Gilles Bédard Pontiac Buick and Friend Michel (Cloutier). 72 years old (soon 73), Simon Larochelle gets up every morning with the passion to be at the service of his ultra-loyal customers. In 50 years, he has sold thousands of vehicles (new and used), and several customers have come or returned to see him since 1971. Human, generous with his time, helpful and reliable, he is appreciated by all his colleagues and never dreamed of still retired for now. Reserved and humble, it might be uncomfortable to find yourself featured in my page, but it was difficult to ignore such a journey. Well done, Simon, for these 50 years of passion.
