A roof fire broke out on Thursday afternoon in a building housing classrooms and laboratories. The fire caused no injuries.
The plume of black smoke was visible from afar. A fire broke out late Thursday afternoon on the Doua campus. The fire started from the roof of a building, firefighters told BFM Lyon.
The four-story building, which houses classrooms and laboratories, was evacuated. And the fire, quickly brought under control, caused no injuries, said the emergency services.
According to our colleagues from Progress, 50m2 of surface went up in smoke after this fire which would be linked to asbestos removal work. Three workers working on the roof managed to escape.
In total, around ten vehicles and around thirty firefighters were mobilized to put out the flames.
