A large fire blocked car traffic in the section “Sunny Beach” – Obzor (passage “Primorski”). Dry grasses and wooden buildings were burnt.

The fire was reported at 1:50 p.m. today. Five fire trucks are on the scene, and in addition to firefighters, forest officials are also fighting the fire in the rugged and difficult-to-access terrain. Huge queues of cars formed on the spot in both directions – towards Varna and towards Burgas.
By 7 p.m., the road was open to traffic, but was stopped at times when fire crews had to enter the turnoff to fill with water.

Another fire is burning on the territory of the Black Sea neighborhood in Nessebar. Brush vegetation on the beach dunes caught fire. In the village of Devetintsi, Karnobat municipality, a fire burned three houses. Two women were evacuated. Low vegetation and grass are also burning there.
By 7 p.m., all three fires were under control.
