The firefighters learned about the fire on the first floor of the building in Zengrova Street with the confectionery factory on the ground floor at 2 p.m.

“Firefighters got the fire under control in half an hour, it took them another half hour to complete the ventilation of the interior,” said Petr Kůdela, a spokesman for the Moravian-Silesian fire brigade.

No one was injured in the fire. “High damage can be caused by damage to office equipment and building structures by fire and smoke,” Kůdela explained. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
