About sixty firefighters with a good fifteen vehicles will intervene in this exercise simulating a structural fire. The firefighters will test their intervention capacities: where to place for example the articulated lifting arm of 35 meters and the large ladder which goes up to 25 meters. And even if the intervention vehicles are adapted to the narrowness of certain streets, it is necessary to be able to arrive quickly enough on the spot.
There will be no smoke or fire .. but the firefighters will also test the water resources. They will therefore water the cathedral for a few moments, but “it will only correspond to a heavy rain, the time to take the necessary measures” we explain to the Morbihan fire and rescue service. During the exercise, residents living in the security perimeter are also invited not to turn on the taps.

In the security perimeter installed around the cathedral and colored red, the circulation of motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians is prohibited. Road traffic is also prohibited in streets highlighted in yellow but permitted for pedestrians.
