NEW YORK – A fire in a residential apartment in the Bronx claimed the life of a 7-year-old girl and injured another woman Monday morning.
The incident occurred at the Melrose Houses residences, according to the Police.
A 37-year-old woman was transported to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition. For its part, a 7-year-old girl was transported to the same hospital and declared dead due to smoke inhalation.
Apparently they were both in the same apartment.
