Fire at an oil refinery in Belarus

On the territory of Naftan OJSC there was a release of diesel fuel followed by ignition. The pillar of fire reached a height of three meters.
In the Belarusian city of Novopolotsk in the Vitebsk region on the evening of Tuesday, September 28, there was a fire at an oil refinery Naphthalene… Firefighters managed to localize the fire, reported at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic.
According to the ministry, a fuel leak was the cause of the fire.
“Today, when launching a delayed coking unit on the territory of OJSC Naphthalene in the city of Novopolotsk, Vitebsk region, diesel fuel was released with its subsequent ignition. Flare burning takes place at the level of +3 meters, “the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed.
The flame was localized until 22:05, eliminated at 22:14. 58 firefighters and 15 units of special equipment worked at the site.
Let us remind you that in July an explosion occurred in Romania at the largest oil refinery in the country. One person became a victim of the tragedy, four more were injured.
Before that in Tehran one of the largest refineries burned Iran. As a result of the fire, 11 people were injured: four were hospitalized, and seven were treated by doctors on the spot.
