A fuel tank fire broke out on Saturday morning in the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula. According to data reported by TASS, the fire covered an area of 1,000 square meters.
The Russian-appointed governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, wrote on his Telegram channel that according to preliminary information, the fire started after a drone strike.
In the early afternoon, Razvozhaev announced that the fire had been extinguished. “The open fire on an area of 1,000 square kilometers has been extinguished,” Razvozhaev wrote to Telegram.

Earlier in the day, he said one person was injured in the attack, with initial reports that the oil depot was hit by two drones.
The Russian-appointed head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, for his part, told Telegram that the air defense and electronic warfare forces on Saturday shot down two drones over the Crimean peninsula. “There were no casualties or damage,” he added.
A spokesman for the Ukrainian army said there was no information that Kiev was behind today’s attack.
