Lhe ministerial decree on the extension of the obligation to wear a mask was published this Friday evening in the Belgian Official Gazette and provides details on the places concerned by the measure.
“Anyone from the age of 12 is obliged to cover their mouth and nose with a mask or any other fabric alternative in the following establishments: stores and shopping centers; cinemas; concert, concert or conference halls; audiences; places of worship; museums; libraries; casinos and gambling halls; and the buildings of justice (for the parts accessible to the public) ”, it is written.

A salt fine
If for medical reasons, wearing a mask is not possible, a face shield should be used. These measures are applicable from tomorrow / Saturday. As with the other measures concerning the coronavirus, non-compliance with the wearing of the mask will result in a fine of 250 euros.
Merchants or managers who fail to comply with this obligation may be fined 750 euros. For those who refuse the fine or who reoffend, the fine can amount to 4,000 euros and / or a prison sentence of eight days to three months.
Details for cinemas
The mouth mask can not be removed by spectators in cinemas and theater only for eating or drinking, said Friday evening the office of the Minister of the Interior Pieter De Crem.
