A financier from Oxford became the third Deputy Minister of Transport

The Prime Minister Stefan Yanev has appointed Alexander Pulev to the post in the transport department

By order of Prime Minister Stefan Yanev, Alexander Pulev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, the government’s press service said.

Alexander Pulev holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Oxford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Finance from the University of Maine, USA.

His professional career passed through Unicredit, where he was the director of Investment Banking for the last four years; The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, of which he has been the Chief Banker for six years; Transaction Consulting Manager at Ernst & Young. He has worked for global companies such as Brown Brothers Harriman and General Electric.

Pulev is the third deputy minister in the transport ministry, where so far two ladies have been deputy ministers to Hristo Alexiev – Nelly Andreeva and Hristina Velinova.
