… by Peter Ludwig – disturbing shots of a city – next week in Utopia – our cinema tip
CORONA WASSERBURG 2020 – that’s the name of the new film by Peter Ludwig from Wasserburg, which can be seen next week on Saturday, April 2nd at 4.30 p.m. in the Utopia cinema. Speaker is Susan Hecker.
The photo shows the situation exactly two years ago in the otherwise so busy hustle and bustle on Saturday afternoon…
About the content of the film:
When you shouldn’t leave the house in March 2020, the filmmaker Peter Ludwig takes his camera and leaves the house.
In the morning. noon. In the evening and also at night.
He succeeds in taking disturbing shots of a city that looks like the setting of a science fiction film. When people appear, one can get the impression that they are moving in a no-go area. Documentary flashbacks reveal what was irrevocably lost as a result of the Corona crisis. An uneventful demonstration with barriers and a massive police presence, a cameraman who can calmly set up his tripod on the median of the Inn Bridge – it shows how much the city has changed in a very short time.
If you can still recognize faces at first, they disappear more and more behind masks and the people who wear them avoid each other over a wide area…
