From the hospital room of the “St. George” hospital in the city of Plovdiv, the chairman of LRD-Grohotno, which is part of LRS-Devin, told of his encounter with an enraged boar, which sent him there.

The most ordinary hunting party, which does not differ in organization and expectations from the others. The race is organized in the “Livishte” area, not far from the village of Grohotno. The hunters separate in about 20 m. The pursuers release the beagles from the indicated places and after about 20 minutes a loud chase bark is heard.

A large boar jumps in front of Sadko Bodurov, the leader of the squad, and runs in front of the dogs about 40m away. Bodurov shoots twice and the game is shot. At first he thinks the heists are successful, but only briefly. The animal gets up and heads towards the hunter, who is already with his rifle unloaded and hiding behind a tree.

About a meter away, just before passing him, the boar sees the man and goes back. He reaches the man and starts hitting him with his head: he doesn’t use his gills and this surely saves the hunter, writes slrb.bg.

The boar injured the man in the knee of his right leg, initially tearing a tendon. Bodurov was knocked to the ground by the animal. He starts again towards him, but the barking of the dog stops him and he goes back.

Sadko tries to load, but drops the cartridge and has no chance to fire another shot. Despite the pain in his leg, taking advantage of the moment when the dogs attract the boar’s attention, he manages to reload again and plays a shot, but fails. The animal “sinks” in the forest, and the other hunters arrive and take Bodurov to the jeep, in which they take him to the emergency center in Devin.

The conclusion of the doctors is that the leg is broken and the hunter was rushed to the “St. George” hospital in Plovdiv, where he is recovering.

From the hospital room, the president of the group said that he has been treated successfully and is looking forward to the day when he will be able to hunt again.

He also reminded that the safety of hunters comes first and it is imperative to observe and follow all the rules related to it when organizing hunting trips.
