Broye ”The 2020 financial year of the Hôpital intercantonal de la Broye was marked by the pandemic and a loss of 7.2 million, reduced to 652,000 francs thanks to cantonal aid.
The Intercantonal Hospital of La Broye (HIB) has experienced a “complicated” year 2020. This is the adjective used by the president of the school board, Stephan Hänsenberger at the start of the 2020 annual report. A year marked by the arrival of new heads in management, as well as the publication of the results of an audit on the governance of the hospital, leading to the complete renewal of the governing board. And above all, a year turned upside down by the Covid-19.
The pandemic, in addition to having an impact on staff and operations, has had its effect on finances. The financial statements thus show an operating deficit of 7.2 million, this because of the additional costs in infrastructure, protective equipment and personnel, and the loss of income caused by the shutdown or rale.
