a field hospital model is being tested in Belgium

Util is a manufacturer of equipment and military camps located in Ennery (Moselle). On December 2, 2021, Philippe Prévost, its CEO, accompanied Ludivine Dedonder, the Belgian Defense Minister, and Admiral Michel Hofman, the Belgian Defense Chief, during the visit of a new military field hospital in Bourg-Léopold. The latter is made up of 73 dismountable tents which were supplied by the Moselle company as part of a € 11 million contract shared with the American company G3S.

The field hospital is equipped with operating theaters allowing surgical interventions to be carried out as well as treatment before evacuation to another hospital structure. Resulting from a call for tenders launched by the Belgian Ministry of Defense, it will serve as support equipment for personnel engaged in intervention missions. After commissioning for this year 2022, it can be deployed in military operations from 2023. Remember that this type of installation is used in countries that do not have adequate health infrastructure.
