“Good luck to Jadon,” Man Utd wrote in a statement on their official website.

Sancho, a 24-year-old English footballer, is on loan at Chelsea until the end of the 2024-2025 season.

Meanwhile, Sancho has told Chelsea he is delighted his move away from United is going well.

He stressed that Chelsea is a prominent club with two of its idol players, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.

“Now I have the same opportunities for this club as they do. It’s an extraordinary feeling,” said Sancho.

The footballer, who helped guide German club Borussia Dortmund to the second-best team in the 2024 UEFA Champions League, also said the challenge from Chelsea manager Vincenzo ‘Enzo’ Maresca was key to his move.

Maresca said Sancho immediately invited him to join Chelsea and help with a project he was working on at the club.

“I have known the coach (Maresca-Rojo) since I was with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City (Maresca was Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City). So I will enjoy his way of playing,” said Sancho.

According to Sancho, the style of play of the team managed by Maresca suits him. When the ball was in the winger’s possession, Sancho said that Maresca wanted the ball direct and one-on-one with the opposing player.

The maresca was also valued by Sancho as a style of play, including the mixed one.

“It’s very interesting and that’s how I play,” Sancho said.

Sancho is also confident that he will adapt quickly to Chelsea as he has friends at the club, namely Cole Palmer and Tosin Adarabia.

“They were younger than me when I was at Manchester City. I haven’t had the chance to speak to them, but I know they are looking for me too.”

Finally, Sancho also promised to continue scoring goals and assisting while at Chelsea, as he is confident in his abilities.

“I am a skilful player who brings excitement to Stamford Bridge. Everything is going according to plan,” he said.

Since Eric Ten Hag was appointed Manchester United manager, Sancho’s fate at the club has been uncertain. Last season he had a falling out with Ten Hag, which led to him being loaned to Borussia Dortmund for half a season from January 2024.

When he returned from his debt, Sancho’s fortunes had not changed. In fact, he fell again when the 2024-2025 Premier League season ended, before finally being loaned to Chelsea. (Hormiga)
