Every Saturday afternoon since the beginning of July, Dijon residents opposing the health pass meet at Place de la République and then demonstrate in the streets. This Saturday, October 9 is no exception to the rule, the procession has been forming little by little since 2 p.m.
According to our estimates, around 300 people are gathered. The police indicate a figure of 150 to 200 demonstrators.
“No vaccine, no chocolate!”

For Daniel, retiree, “the pass doesn’t work. No vaccine, no chocolate! It’s unacceptable! We want the removal, not the suspension of the health pass. I spent hours documenting and informing myself. I do not deny the deaths of the Covid, not at all, the curves in March were worrying. But from now on we must stop, now, it becomes media politician smoke “
The national collective of white masks, made up of caregivers and citizens, is now available locally
–
The white masks is a national collective which is available since this Saturday also locally. Composed of as many caregivers as citizens, it aims “to raise public awareness. Today, at Place de la Liberté, we will be doing a performance in the form of a march against a background of classical music. We are doing this on the sidelines of the demonstration to reach as many people as possible and not just those already convinced in the procession. “
“I myself am a suspended and unpaid caregiver, we must not be forgotten”
–
“Me, I did them all. Except this summer when I demonstrated in Toulouse and Avignon during my holidays. There are fewer and fewer of us and some want to do battle with the police. Me no, I want people to see us and do not erase us all at once. I want to talk to them. I myself am a suspended caregiver and without pay, we must not be forgotten “explains Christine.
The demonstrators started their march shortly before 3 p.m.
The procession set off shortly before 3 p.m. The vast majority are heading for downtown Place Darcy, but a group wants to take the direction of the Toison d’Or. A real disagreement seems to emerge between the demonstrators who advance in peace and a handful wanting a more muscular procession.
