900,000 former Bohemia Energy clients ended up with various suppliers under the DPI regime, followed by the addition of customers from other smaller suppliers.
–
Originally, information letters were returned to the company from about ten thousand clients, and ČEZ will try to contact the remaining fifty customers in another way, for example by visiting on a different day and time.
–
However, at some of the remaining addresses, CEZ employees came across full mailboxes with a large amount of undelivered mail, so these are most likely places where no one has been staying for a long time.
–
CEZ appeals to people, especially with their older acquaintances and relatives, to check whether they do not fall into the DPI regime by chance, or whether they are resolving the situation.
–
More than 96 percent of the original more than 383,000 customers have already left or are leaving the DPI at ČEZ. But there are still thousands of households that have not taken any steps to change.
–
During the patrol, the employees have an employee card with the ČEZ logo, which also includes their photos, full name and personal number. They do not bear any cash or collect any overpayments or arrears and do not enter into any contracts.
–
After three months without paying advances, suppliers can disconnect customers from energy. They thus act in accordance with the Energy Act, which considers repeated non-payment of advances to be unauthorized consumption.
–
This prevents suppliers from incurring unnecessarily large debts, which are usually difficult to enforce.
–
According to MBA Finance, the large non-paying group are tenants and subtenants who are not registered on site and have no idea that there has been a change in energy provider.
–
The new supplier sends them unnecessarily or even physically searches for a permanent address where they do not stay. According to the company, the reason for the large number of non-contact customers is errors in the records of bankrupt suppliers.
–
Last year, on October 13, the Bohemia Energy Group announced the cessation of activities and supplies of electricity and gas. She cited the extreme rise in energy prices in the markets as a reason.
