The mysterious three-meter metal obelisk, recently spotted in the Utah desert, has disappeared. The location was kept secret, but some people found the column. What exactly happened is not clear.

From Utah Department of Public Safety discovered a metal obelisk about three meters high in the middle of the desert in the US state of Utah last week. What it is, who put it there and how long it had been there was a mystery.
Aliens would have something to do with it, according to some. Others refer to the opening scene of the film 2001: A Space Odyssy by director Stanley Kubrick in which monkeys discover and investigate a gigantic black rod. But a modern work of art is also being considered.

Utah authorities did not want to disclose the exact location for security reasons because it is a very remote area. Yet several people were able to track down the place.

–But now the obelisk has disappeared. The Bureau of Land Management, the agency responsible for the area, released a statement on Facebook:
“We have received several credible reports that the illegally placed obelisk has been removed by strangers. The Bureau of Land Management has not removed the obelisk ”, they write on facebook. They turned the investigation over to the local sheriff. The obelisk is said to have been removed on the night of November 27.
