Police are searching for two people in connection with the beating to death of a year-old man Saturday night in the Gage Park neighborhood of southwest Chicago.
According to Chicago police reports, 49-year-old José Téllez was hit in the head by two people with blunt objects at 6:30 pm in the 3500 block of West 58th Street.
Tellez, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 10:32 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
According to his family, Téllez was decorating his house with Christmas lights when the attack occurred.
At the moment the authorities only indicate that they are looking for two people, but have not offered an exact description or the reason for the beating.
The investigation is still active on Monday.
