A father “collapsed in shock” after witnessing his son’s death. The eight-year-old was crushed by a car, right in front of his father on a street in north London.
The tragedy occurred on Friday, at 18:43, according to the records from the accident site. The impact was fatal for the eight-year-old child. He was taken to hospital but, despite the efforts of doctors to save him, he tragically died shortly afterwards. A waitress witnessed the accident when she got off the bus. He saw the little boy’s father fall to the ground. Medics were trying to wake him up as he lay unconscious on the road, according to the report Mirror.

“Our waitress got off the bus and saw what happened and then saw the little boy. I couldn’t get out, but my team rushed to the spot. I only saw his father lying on the floor. He collapsed in shock. So I saw, the doctors were trying to wake him up. All my staff were so traumatized when they came back. Everyone had tears in their eyes, it was awful. I heard that he was their only child,” said the manager of a restaurant in the area.
Yesterday, the Metropolitan Police launched an investigation and an appeal for witnesses to provide dash cam footage in order to find out how the tragedy happened.
