Kottayam: A father and his sick daughter were found dead at home in Vaikat. George Joseph (74) and his differently-abled daughter Ginsi (36) died in Vaikom Iyerkulangara Moothedada. On Tuesday evening, George Joseph was found hanging in the woodshed outside the house and Jinsi’s body was found on the bed in the bedroom. Rt. George Joseph is an Air Force officer.
For a few days, Jinsi had been sick with fever. Jinsi was taken care of by her father after her mother Leelamma died five years ago. Jincy’s sister, Lynsey Wycombe, is a nurse at the Indo-American Private Hospital. Lynsey and her husband lived with her father. Husband is now in Pune.
In the afternoon, when Lynsey got no answer when she called the house, she called out to the neighbors. When her neighbor Sudhevi came home, she found George Joseph hanging from the woodshed and Ginsi dead in the bedroom. Lynsey’s children were asleep upstairs at the time of the incident.
Police reached the spot under the leadership of Vaikom ACP Nakulrajendra Deshmukh and took further action. Forensic officials also inspected the spot. Police said more details will be clear only after the post-mortem.
