A photo of Jungkook in a restaurant has gone viral in Korean online communities.
On January 5, a popular community post titled “Jungkook was spotted on a date on Jeju Island. Taehyung and Jennie’s date last year…”
In the photo, Jungkook was seen sitting in a restaurant next to an unfamiliar woman. User commented “Jungkook has found love. ㅠㅠ “thus infuriating the fans.
Fans and internet users quickly debunked the rumor that had spread so quickly since its release. Many have pointed out that the photo is old and in fact the star had visited the restaurant with a group of her friends.
But what caught the most attention was an international fan who contacted the owner of the restaurant, asking if the singer was really with a girlfriend.
The fan also asked the owner how many people (men and women) accompanied the star, and to explain their relationship.
The owner said it wasn’t his girlfriend, but rather a staff member who worked with Jungkook. On the Korean online community, netizens wrote:

- Stop spreading false rumors
- live your life
- He was from last year and everyone already knows that he went with acquaintances. He also left his signature there. People used to attack Taehyung, but now they’ve switched to Jungkook?
However, the fact that the international fan contacted the owner actually made other foreign fans infuriated as they regard it as a matter of privacy and do not have the right to check what kind of relationship the singer has by contacting the restaurant owner.
