A famous grocery chain has to close its stores. His situation is complicated, there are only a few left

While until now grocery sellers have pretty much only added stores and not removed any, they are now exposed to a difficult situation where they may have to reconsider some of their plans, at least for a while. Some companies in the Czech Republic are closing down permanently, others are trying to save their business at least in a truncated form.

They have never faced such pressure before

This is also an example of the popular food retailer Country Life. It has been operating on the Czech market for more than thirty years and is therefore one of the oldest. During that time, it has gained many loyal customers who like to shop for quality, organic food here. These stores rely on a different assortment than what you find in regular supermarkets. Of course, it’s also a bit more expensive.

And that can be a bit of a hindrance these days. People need to start saving and those who not long ago enjoyed quality food must now re-evaluate their situation and consider whether it is still bearable with the price increase of everything possible.

The drop in demand is already evident. Otherwise Country Life would not have to close three of its stores. They are all in Prague, on Jungmanova Street, Sokolovská Street and Bělohorská Street. The owner of the retail chain points out that this is the most difficult time of all thirty years. He has never had to take such a drastic measure, which obviously also entails dismissal.

It doesn’t have to be the end

However, Country Life has no plans to give up. He will continue further with less sales and understandably hopes for a brighter tomorrow, which will perhaps allow him to continue the expansion. You can then use the purchase in the remaining stores, but also in the online store, which continues further. So you won’t lose your favorite products.

According to experts, such a procedure is nothing exceptional and such cases are likely to increase as the crisis deepens. At best, the brand can survive on the Czech market, but at other times its management is in such trouble that they have to shut down completely, like another Icelandic store chain.
