Prominent Greek filmmaker Manusos Manusakis, known mostly for his TV series, has died at the age of 74, Greek media reported.

Among the viewers’ favorite series directed by Manusakis are “Touch of the Soul” and “The Whisper of the Heart”, recalls ANA-MPA, quoted by BTA.

Manusos Manusakis was born in 1950. in Athens. He graduated from the London Film School and after his return to Greece in the early 1970s, he began working in the cinema.


However, his fame among the Greek public is primarily due to the television series he created for private channels since the 1990s. His TV dramas are mainly focused on stories of forbidden love, and some of them are among the most successful in the history of Greek television – “The Whisper of the Heart”, “Touch of the Soul”, “Don’t Tell Me Goodbye”, “Love Came from afar” “).

In her condolence message, Greek Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni wrote that “Manousos Manusakis made quality television for the general public (…) His creative imprint behind the lens remains indelible.”
