A family home was engulfed in flames on Friday afternoon at Chemin de l’Alchet in Movelier. The alarm was sounded around 5 p.m. by a neighbor who saw smoke coming from the roof. The latter immediately warned the occupants of the accommodation who were able to go out on their own. According to the first elements, the fire started around the chimney of the building. The exact causes of the fire, however, are not yet known. The firefighters were able to quickly master the disaster, but the damage was substantial, particularly on the roof and in several rooms of the house. No one was hurt. Residents had to be relocated with relatives.
The SIS Haut-Plateau and the Delémont reinforcement center were mobilized on the spot with around forty men. The gendarmerie, the judicial police and an ambulance also visited the scene. / Comm-alr
