The contrast is striking. Between the decrepit facades of Montées 60 Sud or 90, and the brand new surfacing of Montées 56 or 58, there are… months of work, more than a hundred rehousings and around twenty million euros! Part of the price to pay (it will be 191 million in total) to give back to this now fifty-year-old district an attractiveness that the years have undermined.
In four years, 200 housing units in the North Creek have been rehabilitated, corresponding to the old climbs 60 (east and west, renamed 54 and 56) and 70 (west and north, renamed 58 and 60). Renovations which are added to those, previous, of the climbs 40 and 50 – delivered in 2016. Which are also added to the demolition, in 2013, of the climb of the 50 North.
