A teenager in the Philippines is calling for help from a rare disease that spreads from a small rash on her nose to a lump on her face.
According to the Daily Mirror of the British Daily on the 10th, Mary Anne Legacho (17), who lives in Nueva Eshiha, Philippines, swelled her face after squeezing a small rash on her nose last year.
She gave birth to a son at a young age last year, and she thought the swelling of her face at the time was due to hormonal problems after childbirth.
However, after squeezing the pimple, the pain persisted for several days, and the surrounding face continued to swell around the area where the pimple was squeezed, and eventually it looked like a lump.
“The balloon seemed to swell,” she said, and now a lump-like mass spreads all the way around her eyes, reaching a point where one eye couldn’t see.
This young mother has been trying to treat medicinal herbs without going to the hospital, but to no avail.
“I thought it was just a rash, but I couldn’t sleep properly because I was sick,” she said. “I’m afraid I’ll never find my old face again.”
She only recently visited a local hospital, but she couldn’t find out her strange symptoms, so she moved back to a large hospital, but she couldn’t afford the cost of medicine and treatment.
Her husband, Albert Sales, is working on a temporary job on a neighboring farm and is asking for help because she couldn’t get his wife’s medical bills.
