A drunk driver from Knezha caused a serious accident tonight and killed a man in the Roma neighborhood in Byala Slatina. The driver leaving the city in a Mercedes ran into three pedestrians. The blow was so strong that a man died on the spot. Two women were seriously injured and were hospitalized with craniocerebral injuries.

The inadequate driver was tested for alcohol use with a druggist, and the result was positive. Police found that the driver was celebrating March 8 with a friend in the neighborhood, where he drank a solid amount of alcohol before sitting behind the wheel.

Due to the deadly incident, many people from the neighborhood immediately gathered and wanted to lynch the driver, but the police kept the situation. A team was called in to control the tension
