A drug addict suspected of selling to his dealers information extracted from the police and the gendarmerie by posing as one of theirs, has been placed under judicial control, announced this Sunday the prosecutor’s office of Roanne (Loire).

Originally from Vaucluse and living in the Saint-Jean region for the past two years, the thirty-something, who suffers from schizophrenia, was brought back to the Lyon Saint-Jean de Dieu psychiatric hospital pending his trial set for February 12. He faces seven years in prison.
A heavy criminal record
In a state of legal recidivism within the framework of a conviction for extortion, his criminal record has about thirty mentions. The man had passed himself off for the first time as a Lyonnais police officer at the Roanne penitentiary center in order to obtain information on a detainee, specifies the prosecution.
