An accident in which a child was involved caused a huge scandal, on Monday, on a street in Baia Mare, after dozens of people camped over the 25-year-old woman who was behind the wheel of the car, reports Emaramures.ro.
The driver immediately went down to provide first aid, following the accident, and called 112. A crew of the Maramureș County Ambulance Service arrived on the scene, picked him up and consciously transported him to the Maramureș County Emergency Hospital.
Immediately, dozens of people from Baia Mare, mostly of Roma ethnicity, gathered at the scene of the accident and encamped the driver. She fled and took refuge in a store. The woman’s car was destroyed by the Roma, as well as the shop where she took refuge. Only the 8 crews of the police and three crews of the Gendarmerie managed to keep them in check.
The minor was transported to Baia Mare County Hospital for medical investigations, and the driver was tested for alcohol, the result being zero.
The police found that several people, nearby, caused damage to the car involved in the car accident, after it occurred.
The police continued to report ex officio the crime of disturbing public order and peace and bodily injury and are conducting investigations to identify all those involved in the event and to establish the exact facts.
