MADRID, 23 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least five people have been killed and five others injured in China’s northeast Liaoing province after a driver rammed his vehicle into a crowd for causes still under investigation.
The driver ran over a large group of people who were crossing the street shortly before midnight on Saturday before he fled with his vehicle, a black sedan, as reported by the department of Public Safety of the province to the agency Chinese Xinhua News Officer.
Four people died on the spot and a fifth was declared dead at the medical center to which she was transferred. The other five injured are receiving medical attention at a hospital.
The perpetrator has already been arrested and identified and the tests have not yielded evidence that he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
