The details of the accident or attack are still unclear. According to police information, the as yet unidentified driver drove into the building for an as yet unknown reason and broke into the visa section of the consulate general. The car stopped in the lobby of the building.
No other injuries or victims are known at this time.
“When the police arrived, the car was parked in front of the Chinese consulate. The police entered the building, made contact with the suspect, and then a shooting took place with the participation of one of the policemen,” the authority informed. “The suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital, the investigation is still ongoing,” the police added.
