When it is said of certain players that they would undoubtedly have gone wrong or would have let themselves be embroiled in stories if they had not made a career in NBA, it is the truth. The tragic example of Teshaun Hightower is there to remind him.
The back of Tulane’s college, enrolled in the NBA 2020 Draft, was arrested and charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm in connection with a homicide this weekend, announced NBC Sports. Incarcerated in Henry County prison in Georgia pending trial, Hightower is the main suspect in the murder of Devante Anthony Long, assassinated on April 8, and was arrested along with five of the six main suspects.
This season, Teshaun Hightower was averaging 15.9 points with Tulane, a college he joined last summer after starting his career in Georgia. Expelled from the university after these revelations, Hightower, 20, hoped to be drafted in the NBA.
We do not yet know the context in which this drama took place, but it is unfortunately not the first time that a player or future NBA player finds himself in this situation.
