Raleigh—Dominican Carlos Liriano has promoted baseball in North Carolina with the creation of the NC Royals team.
This team provides 21 young people with the opportunity to play, make friends and compete in sports at a very affordable cost.
Liriano has invested his own resources and has found sponsors to cover almost all of the expenses associated with baseball, thus alleviating the financial burden on families.
The passion of baseball

Different approach and results
“I gathered some parents and proposed to them to take advantage of this talent, but with a different approach. I don’t want baseball to be stressful; I want kids to play freely, have fun, compete, and for the cost to be low.“, explained the coach.
The team, which competes in division 1, has won five of the six championships in which he has participated in North Carolinawhich has generated great satisfaction among parents and players.

Liriano clarifies that the The goal is to maximize children’s free time and make competitions a learning field for everyone..
“For example, in months like August and October, when they are out of school season, we participate in competitions so they can play and enjoy baseball, as these competitions also serve as valuable practice for their development.”

The cost for parents is very low, except for the registration fee for the championship in which the team participates. Sponsors cover most of the expenses, while Liriano contributes with other personal resources.
“The most important thing is that they have fun. I love this; I’m always thinking about how to renew, where to participate and how to improve. We have the help of coach Jaures García, who also contributes his knowledge during training and matches,” said Liriano.
