A dog attacks a child on a hospital campus in northern Shuna

A stray dog mauled a child,” the day before last night, inside the Moaz Bin Jabal hospital campus in northern Shuna.
The ten-year-old was visiting a patient with his family when he was attacked by a dog that tried to gobble up other visitors to the hospital, according to eyewitnesses.
The director of the hospital, Dr Abdul-Jalil Miqdadi, told Al-Rai that the boy had received treatment within the hospital before leaving and was in good condition.
Miqdadi indicated that the location of the hospital building, near agricultural land, made his sanctuary a gathering place for stray dogs, many of which were poisoned months ago by the municipality after complaints about it.
She explained that the administrative and municipal authorities applied earlier this month to get rid of a dog and its puppies that are inside the hospital campus and it was she who mauled the child. the framework due to the presence of small puppies to find a solution for the dog as an alternative to poisoning.
Eyewitnesses said that visitors to the hospital were repeatedly attacked by stray dogs inside and outside the hospital along the roads leading to it.
It is widespread in the areas of the Jordan Valley in general «stray dogs live among residential neighborhoods and expose many citizens, especially children, to prey on them in recent years, amid the failure of municipalities to fight them.
