A man who took his wife to the emergency room of St. Anna “in Varna claims that he was treated rudely by a doctor. The man says that his wife had severe trauma to the chest area, which led to significant blood loss and, according to him, the chest surgeon had to take emergency measures.
However, the victim’s husband doubted the doctor’s behavior and whether he had consumed alcohol and even called the police to check on the surgeon. After a sample was taken, it was found that the doctor had 1.9 parts per million of alcohol.
“When I approached the doctor, I smelled alcohol. I called 112 and a team came. The cops did their job perfectly and drugged him. In front of the police, he began to justify not having drunk a lot, “explained Damyan Stoyanov.
After about an hour the hospital director arrived to replace the doctor who had consumed alcohol. Stoyanov asked him if a blood sample would be taken by the doctor, he received the answer: “I will judge”.
The hospital told NOVA that an internal investigation into the case was immediately carried out. A violation of the labor regulations has been ascertained and an adequate administrative sanction will be imposed.
“Pay attention to the director of the hospital. I found out that this Dr. Slavov is the head of the “Thoracic Surgery” department. Control at higher levels is apparently underestimated. More attention should be paid, doctors should be checked for alcohol, ”Stoyanov appeals.
