The… movement ordered by Adonis Georgiadis with his request to defend the NSS “from propaganda”, as he typically says, is problematic.
In a new post by the Minister of Health, he states that in his invitation “the doctors of the NHS themselves join the battle”, also publishing a video of surgery professor Giorgos Theodoropoulos, who from the operating room, after he says the procedure has been completed, the himself speaks without a mask to the camera in order to present an idealized image of the public health system.
As the doctor says in the video, he insisted that his patient be operated on at a university clinic, despite the fact that he has a specialized team at a private hospital, stressing that “we have trained gymnasiums, instrumenters, nurses and anesthesiologists who blow. And of course support from very good ergonomics and tools from the medical industry”.
At another point in the video, Mr. Theodoropoulos states: “Because many will rush to talk about financial benefits, tariffs, sachets and other familiar things that suck their minds, I have news for them: the patient had very good private insurance. And while I have a very good and capable team in the private sector, I made it a condition that he be operated only in a university clinic.”
Of course, no one doubts the high level of human resources working in public hospitals. On the contrary, the criticism concerns the intensification of the work of these workers to the point that it reaches the limits of human endurance, but also the salaries they receive to offer their services to the citizens.
In his post, of course, the health minister translates everything the surgeon said as support for the NHS from “propaganda”.
