DNA specialist Nicolae Răzvan Despa was caught red-handed by DNA prosecutors while receiving a 6,000-euro tranche of the 12,000-euro bribe requested from a company to help him win a tender even with the National Anticorruption Directorate. in a press release sent to G4Media.ro.
The acquisition was to be carried out under the project “Further development of DNA’s technical capacity in the investigation of crimes against the EU’s financial interests” co-financed by OLAF under the Hercule III Technical Assistance program.
According to some judicial sources, the contract was for the purchase of a surveillance drone worth 55 thousand euros.

On November 16, 2021, the defendant Despa Nicolae Răzvan received 30,000 lei (the equivalent of 6,000 euros) from the businessman, on which occasion the flagrant crime was established.“, It is shown in the DNA communiqué.
On November 17, 2021, DNA specialist Nicoale Răzvan Despa will be presented to the Bucharest Tribunal with a proposal for pre-trial detention for 30 days.
