Several officials of the PNH in Cap-Haitien contacted by the newspaper, were unable to react to the news of the assassination, this Saturday, December 26, 2020, of the divisional inspector Telfort Ferais, head of the Intervention Brigade (BI ) from Cap Haitien.
According to details provided by the spokesperson for the PNH, Divisional Inspector Garry Desrosiers, the victim was returning from a wedding ceremony when armed individuals attacked him.
Hit by several projectiles, he later died in hospital.
The policeman Telfort Ferais has been followed by the assassins since the end of the ceremony and was shot after an exchange of fire. The victim’s gun was taken away by the bandits, says Garry Desrosiers.
