A digital concert dedicated to World Opera Day will feature a fragment of the concert “Together” / Article / LSM.lv

This year, World Opera Day, which will be celebrated around the world on October 25, will be celebrated with a new global digital concert featuring performances by both world-famous singers and young opera soloists, including a concert excerpt from the Latvian opera project Together with bass Andreas Bauer. Kanaba’s performance, the creators of the project “Together” informed.

The concert dedicated to World Opera Day is organized by Opera Europa, Opera America, Opera Latinoamerica in cooperation with Opera for Peace. The concert will feature world-famous singers such as Sondra Radvanovsky, Denyce Graves, Luca Pisaroni, Isabel Leonard, Brian Jagde, Gold Schultz Dreisig and performances by promising young opera soloists from six continents.

The project “Together” created in Latvia with the performance of the outstanding bass Andreas Bauer Kanaba from the closing concert of the cycle “Together” in the Small Guild has also been invited to participate in the prestigious event.

The virtual concert is a collaboration between world-renowned theaters and opera companies such as the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Opéra Comique in Paris, the National Opera Center in New York, the Cape Town Opera, the Siamese Opera, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, ​​the Wexford Opera Festival and others. .

The success of the “Together” project is a surprise to us. From an experimental idea, involving our outstanding artists, Latvian cultural sites, many, many people and with the help of supporters, together we have reached an event that will reach opera lovers around the world, ”says the project author and producer Daina Markova.

The World Opera Day concert will bring together singers on six continents and four time zones. Latvia and the project “Together” are invited to participate in the culmination of the concert in Part 4 at 15:00 New York time (21:00 Latvian time), conducted by world-famous opera star soprano Lisette Oropesa and tenor Lawrence Brownlee . The Latvian project “Together” has been invited to participate in a performance of Mephistopheles’ rondo from Charles Guno’s opera “Faust” from a concert at the House of Blackheads, performed by outstanding bass Andreas Bauer Kanabas and pianist Mārtiņš Zilberts.

CONTEXT:

In the summer of 2020, concerts were performed by Latvian opera singers Aleksandrs Antonins, Marina Rebeka, Jānis Apeinis, Perīna Madefa and Sonora Vaice.
