A diet was introduced in Crimea after the bridge exploded

A regime for the amount of food that can be purchased was introduced on the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula after the 19km bridge connecting it to the Kerch region was blown up early this morning.

Crimea has food supplies for 55 days, according to the Russian state news agency TASS. However, a ban on the sale of more than 3 kilograms of food products at a time was introduced. This was done to avoid artificially triggering a crisis, authorities said.

Further restrictions on the sale of motor fuel have been introduced in Sevastopol, Governor Mihail Razvozhaev reports. According to the Ministry of Energy of Russia, in the Crimea they have stocks of gasoline and diesel for 15 days.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has set up a special commission to investigate the explosions. Initial information concerned an exploded freight train, but information later appeared accusing Ukraine of an attack on the bridge.
