A device of 13 people and six vehicles rescues a hiker who went missing last night in Miera

SANTANDER, 14 years old (PRESS EUROPE)

Yesterday evening a ground unit made up of 13 people and six vehicles came to the rescue of a Galician hiker who was lost on the Pozos de Noja route, in Miera, as the helicopter could not fly due to lack of light.

The 112 Cantabria Emergency Department located the hiker, with whom it was able to maintain contact, and mobilized the rescuer and the Civil Protection emergency coordinator, as well as firefighters and government forestry workers. They also asked for logistical support from the emergency Red Cross.

Since there was a trail near where the hiker was, troops went in an all-terrain vehicle to rescue him.

After checking that it was in good condition, he was taken to his car, which was located in Lirganes.
